Hybrid Curriculum
Timberdoodle offers “basic kits for those on a strict budget or combining more than one grade… Kits are a mix of hands-on exploration and workbooks….They also offer Elite Kits which include all the bells and whistles… They use a weekly checklist approach so that your child will easily know when he has completed all this week’s work. The emphasis is on building critical thinking skills using a varied approach that stimulates the brain for all learning styles.
The mission of Paradigm Accelerated Curriculum (PAC) is to provide for students an accelerated learning system and principle-based core curriculum specifically designed to address the character, academics and emotional needs of students who have been under-served or have underperformed in conventional classrooms. PAC publishes soft-cover 8-1/2″ by 11″ textbooks with companion student activity books and test booklet. Each course is divided into several of these text-booklets, which removes the intimidation of a typical large, heavy textbook. Students work through each course in these smaller chunks.
The Keystone School is a rigorous online high school and middle school that serves a wide range of students who need flexibility. They offer more than 170 teacher-supported online high school and middle school courses. Students can enroll any time of the year and may take courses online or via traditional textbook. Keystone is accredited by Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools: Commission on Secondary Schools and the Northwest Accreditation Commission.
